Oh, you’re laughing, but I mean it! Sure some would think of the ‘Emerald City’ as referring to the classic movie, The Wizard of Oz, starring Judy Garland. But, did you know there are several places that take the nickname of the emerald city, and one of them is actually in Iraq? I kid you not-your favorite place and mine, Baghdad, Iraq. We’ve got lots of soldiers over there, and I’ll bet even they don’t know that!

Looking into the matter a bit further, it is unclear how the area referred to as the ‘Green Zone’ in Baghdad is nicknamed this, nor how it has also obtained the nickname ‘little Venice’. Does anybody else seem to know? Because as far as I can see from this pic, that place is a hell hole that we need to bring our boys back from, not some sort of vacation spot.
Everyone has their own opinions on this, and I definitely have mine. We did what we needed to do, mission accomplished. So why are we still over there babysitting these people? Please, enough. Bring our boys home and throw them one incredible party!
